WrestleMania is set to return to Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 18 and 19, 2026. The statement arrives a month after WWE revealed that the most recent version, WrestleMania 41, was “the most successful and highest-earning event in company history.”
Paul Michael Levesque, WWE's head of content, announced this during the company's "Money in the Bank" event on Saturday in Los Angeles.
“In my experience, anything worth doing is worth doing twice,” said the former professional wrestler also known as Triple H. “So I’ve got just one question for you — are you ready to double down?”
Initially, WrestleMania was planned to take place at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, as The Rock disclosed on the Feb. 21 broadcast of “Friday Night SmackDown.” However, last month, WWE announced it had altered its plans.
This is just the second occasion that WWE will hold WrestleMania in the same city for two consecutive years. The most recent occurred in 1988-89 in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
According to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, WrestleMania 41 produced an estimated economic impact of $215 million for Las Vegas in April. This figure accounts for visitor spending from around 125K fans who attended the two-night main event at Allegiant, as well as a weekend filled with events such as a Friday Night SmackDown at T-Mobile Arena, a WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony at the Fontainebleau, and a WWE fan experience at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
The weekend was also positive for the WWE. Approximately 5.8 to 6.2 million streaming accounts watched WrestleMania 41 events — an increase of 3.1 to 3.3 million accounts compared to WrestleMania 40’s record of 2.7–2.9 million — with international Netflix streaming likely elevating the overall global count significantly.
This will be the third occasion the event takes place in Vegas. The inaugural event was WrestleMania IX in 1993.
The probable explanation for WWF (the name WWE went by before 2002) not coming back to Vegas for over 30 years is that the initial experience wasn't very successful.
Taking place at the Caesars Palace Grand Garden, essentially the Caesars Palace parking lot, WrestleMania IX is regarded as one of the less impressive installments in the series.
Following Yokozuna's victory over Bret Hart for the WWF Championship in the main event, it was determined that he would face Hulk Hogan in an unscheduled match right away. Although this returned the title to Hogan for the final time, at the time, the sudden change in booking primarily disappointed WWF fans.
Furthermore, the transmission was plagued by sound problems that made a significant portion of the commentary unintelligible.
Ultimately, the event did not reach full capacity. Out of 18,000 tickets available, only 16,891 were attended, leaving over 1,000 tickets unclaimed. And thousands had undoubtedly already been distributed to casino VIPs, high-rollers, WWF staff, media members, and contest victors.
